General Counsel & Group Secretary,
Matthew Warburton is General Counsel and Group Secretary for Hudson Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the legal, company secretarial, insurance and risk management functions of the companies.
Prior to joining Hudson in early 2005 as Industrial Relations Counsel, Matthew worked with the Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union and the Flight Attendants' Association of Australia over a period of 10 years.
He's also an avid surfer, and founding member of the Australian Lawyer’s Surfing Association.
Experience and Achievements
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice and is a member of the Law Society of NSW.
He has considerable experience in litigation, commercial dispute resolution and negotiation of contracts. He has specialist experience in all aspects of corporate law, corporate governance, employment law including workplace relations, industrial disputes, unfair dismissal/contracts and discrimination. He has appeared in a wide range of courts and tribunals as an advocate and lawyer. Matthew is also experienced in mergers and acquisitions, immigration and general commercial law.
